According to Federal and State regulations, the parent(s) of a child eligible for early intervention services is entitled to reimbursement for the cost of transportation to any IFSP services delivered outside the natural environment. The family will be reimbursed for transportation for the exact mileage for a direct route to and from the Jordan Child Development Center. Attendance records for each class will be kept at the center. Parents/guardians will be reimbursed two times a year (July and January) for the previous six month period.
As parents/guardians you do have the option to decline travel reimbursement. In such cases, the funds will be used for other program services. For a child to receive the greatest benefit from EI, regular attendance for services identified on the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is very important.
