Jordan School District offers free educational services for children with disabilities (3 to 5 years old). A child is determined to be eligible for services through a screening and testing process. To qualify, a child must demonstrate developmental delays as established by the Utah State Office of Education in one or more of the following areas:
- Cognitive
- Communications/Language Skills
- Motor Skills
- Adaptive (self help) skills
- Social and Emotional Development
- Vision
- Hearing
Special education services are designed to meet the specialized needs of individual children. Services are held in designated elementary schools in Jordan School District. These services are provided by special education teachers, related service providers, and para-educators.
